The Internship Program at Dolphin Quest Bermuda is an immersive journey into the world of marine conservation and animal care where college students can experience a dynamic marine education environment alongside seasoned experts. As an intern, you will engage in diverse activities, from animal care and enrichment to educational outreach, gaining insights into marine mammal behavior, conservation practices, and the vital role of education in fostering a deeper connection with our oceanic world. Gain hands on experience with animal husbandry, marine conservation, education, and scientific studies. Develop learned skills in daily operations, public engagement, and animal interaction. Attend a custom designed lecture series, participate in workshops, and explore personal development opportunities. Candidate may be able to earn course credits through educational practicum.

Requirements: 
Time requirement is 40 hours/week for three months. Non-paid internship valuable for gaining experience in an accredited marine mammal care environment, with a focus on bottlenose dolphins. Candidates must be 18 years and older to qualify. Each candidate must be able to pass our company swim test. Each candidate must be able to commit to the entire 3-month internship. Each candidate must be able to fluently communicate in English. This internship requires interns to be comfortable walking on uneven and wet terrain and be able to lift 50lbs.
Recommended Skills: 
The program is recommended for college students or recent collect graduates interested in marine mammal training and marine mammal care. No previous marine mammal experience is required, but previous animal care experience is preferred. Program size will vary depending upon the number of applicants and season.
