The Assistant Coordinator of Education at Marineland Dolphin Adventure will help manage our public education team members who are charged with creating a fun and engaging experience for our guests, by educating them about the history, animals, and exhibits here at Marineland. This can include, but is not limited to, engaging guests in public areas, giving guided tours, and performing educational talks about our animals. The Assistant Coordinator will assist in booking and leading educational programs such as field trips, summer camp, homeschool days, and more, as well as help create and write lessons for a variety of programs. Additionally, the education Assistant Coordinator will work with the Education Coordinator to grow and expand Marineland’s educational program. This position is responsible for representing Marineland and must be able to answer a wide range of questions quickly and completely in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Create engaging moments for our guests, by creating a warm, friendly, and inviting environment in all education areas. 2. Work in both indoor and outdoor areas as needed, while engaging our guests in education and conservation 3. Ensuring animal and guest safety is a top priority. 4. Provide engaging educational experiences for our guests that support our vision and mission. 5. Guide the guest experience to ensure a memorable and positive visit; this includes ensuring comfort and safety of visitors while fostering education growth. 6. Set up and breakdown equipment and activities related to public engagement. 7. Work to ensure guest satisfaction, notifying appropriate personnel about challenges and successes in the exhibit area. 8. Be an active part of the Marineland team. 9. To perform other duties as workload necessities. 10. Learn and Lead educational programs 11. Assist in lesson planning and writing 12. Book Education programs on our system 13. Requirements: 
1. Preferred College Degree in biology, environmental science, education, or related field. 2. Previous experience in guest engagement in a zoo, aquarium, or hospitality setting. 3. Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of wildlife conservation and environmental issues. 4. Demonstrate a passion for conservation that is practiced both in and out of the work area. 5. Demonstrate ability to develop partnerships and good working relationships with others. 6. Lesson writing experience is preferred but not required. 7. Must pass background check & drug screening. 8. Must maintain an open availability and be able to work up to 40 hours including weekends on a flexible schedule as demanded by guests and company needs. 9. Must be able to attend all required training. 10. Proficiency with Google Drive and Canva.
